You spend your life going to church, obeying the rules and doing the right thing in hopes that a higher power grants you access through the pearly gates. The other option is Hell, or so we thought. After her death, Ashley waited for the bright light that never came or the dark cloud that evaded her. What she didn’t expect was Thaddeus. Her choice was made and the link was something they never expected. Being a ghost was hard enough, but being linked to a vampire that cannot keep himself out of trouble was proving to be more difficult than either of them expected. As Ashley’s visions become increasingly more graphic, she is forced to watch herself do bad things to good people while Thaddeus is blind to her murderous spree. When the lines blur and he gets a peek in to her premonitions, Ashley is at risk of losing more than just her life. She could lose everything, including her vampire.

When I seen this book was a PNR about a vampire and a ghost I knew I had to read it and as an added bonus written by one of my favorite go to authors. Once again I was amazed at Author Virginia Johnson"s story telling abilities. This book is nothing short of fantastic, I could not put it down and finished it in under 24 hours. The author gives you just enough information to keep you hooked and guessing all the way to the end with no extra words added as fluff to fill pages. True to Ms. Johnson f [...]

Wow this is he first book by Virginia Johnson I’ve read and it didn’t disappoint. This story is about Vampires and Ghost not what you see together a lot. Thaddeus needs Ashley more than he lets her know, Ashley is a seer and has visions that she can share with Thaddeus or he can send them to her. When Ashley’s visions start to show her disturbing things she needs to find answers but she knows Thaddeus is keeping things from her. When they both do Thai ha that save the other what happens is [...]

The first thing that attracts me to a book is its cover. Well, Secondary Silence's cover is gorgeous, can't wait to see the paperback version on my bookshelf. The second thing that piques my interest is always the blurb. I was excited when I saw this distinct storyline was going to include ghosts and vampires. This book will change any views you thought you had on vampires and ghosts, it definitely changed mine. What I didn't expect that I only discovered after reading from page one to the very [...]

Well this book will keep you guessing right up to the very last page! From the very first page, this book grips you in its fangs and holds you tight until the very last word. With scenes described in fantastic detail, and characters that are so beautifully developed and a plot that you don't see coming, you will not want for anything! A must read!

Secondary Silence is not your run of the mill PnR story and Ashley and Thads's relationship does not conform to the normal constraints of a romance.once again Virginia Johnson has floored me with her latest book, her imagination and her diversity when it comes to writing. Fans of her work will be left with their jaw hanging as Miss Johnson ends her book with.Naaaa! You need to read it!!!!

This book gripped me right from the start. For the life of me I was trying to figure out the end game in which was to become of Ashley and Thaddeus. Well in true Virginia Johnson style she kept me guessing right to the very end. This is no ordinary paranormal story, beliefs are distorted and not everything is as it seems.

When Virginia dropped hints about this book I knew I had to read it, and I was not disappointed!! It is an amazing story!!As with her other books books there is death, a crazy couple working together, and an awesome story line. If you haven't read her before it's okay, you will still love it.Emily is a ghost who didn't cross over, and Thaddeus is a vampire who is first to see her. They work together to find answers to an unexpected other. During the search for answers, they are both start harbor [...]

I loved this book so much!!I am not a big fan of PNR but I am a huge fan of Virginia Johnson's and once again she did not disappoint. From the first chapter I was hooked but trying to figure out why a vampire needed a seer was confusing to me UNTIL it became more than a vampire/seer relationship. That ending was not what I envisioned. Such a unique PNR book that ended up being a love story. I hope she continues the story!!

5 WOWING stars!!! This book kept me so enthralled throughout the entire thing. I couldn't wait to get back to reading it when I had to put it down. I've read all of this authors work & honestly I'm sooo stunned by this ending. I'm shaking my head going no way, she did that? REALLY? This is definitely a must read.

This book does a great job at spinning a complicated, intriguing story into a suspenseful, almost romantic tale. There are a lot of powerful emotions portrayed though the characters which makes it dufficult to put down. But don't worry, the dedicated reader can get through it in one sitting. I can't wait to see what Ms. Johnson has in store for us next!

Secondary Silence was a awesome read at first I was starting to get confuse I didn't know what was going on what Ashley was seeing what was happening but that is the good of a story that keeps you turning the next page that keeps you up all night until you know what on earth is going on. But then I saw the light and it was so great that I wanted more of Ashley and Thaddeus I felt that it was too short of their story so I'm hoping there is going to be more soon or at least of different characters [...]

We follow the story of a girl named Ashley, who is a ghost living with a vampire and helping him by interpreting visions for him. She has visions of her own (which she can't make sense of) and he gives her visions as well, but she does not always know what the visions mean. As Ashley and Thaddeus try to figure out what some of the latest visions mean, Thad discovers that the Vampire Lords are planning something sinister. He goes to confront them, and Ashley follows them. She has a choice to make [...]

A surprisingly haunting beautiful love story. When a book starts with a definitions, well, I was thinking darn it, now, there's going to be a quiz or something. Thank goodness it was just for the reader's information, you know to help us out if we get confused. Anyway, I instantly felt for Ashley. Ashley is a ghost. Oh, I know. What are you talking about? How can you feel bad for a ghost? Hold on for a second and I'll tell you. Ashley is a seerer who belongs to a super hot vampire named Thaddeus. [...]

Title: Secondary SilenceAuthor:Virginia JohnsonGenre:Adult Paranormal Romance, MysteryFormat:Ebook - ARCPages:138Rating:5Heat:1Thoughts: Fascinating story! I was expecting your normal, somewhat sappy romance. That is not at all what this story is. Yes, there are romantic moments, but it's more like a story where both characters are strong and willing to sacrifice but also don't want to live without the other. And the journey of them leading up to where they finally admit their feelings was full [...]

Wow - Virginia Johnson has out done herself this time!! She took on more than one new genre and totally rocked them all! I absolutely loved this book. Ashley and Thaddeus are a cute couple; honestly who who think of putting a ghost and vampire together. I was hooked from start to finish. The fast paced movement of events made it very hard to put the book down. I hope this is not the end of what we see for Ashley and Thaddeus I can't wait to see where this could go next! Fabulous job! Please brin [...]

Wow! This is my first book from Virginia Johnson and I wasn’t disappointed. I must admit as a paranormal fan this book completely had me hooked as it wasn’t the usual plot line I’ve come to expect. The afterlife Ashley was expecting didn’t materialise. Instead, Thaddeus arrives and Ashley becomes linked to him. Ashley is a Seer and her visions become more graphic as she watches herself do terrible deeds. A well written story full of darkness, power and souls! A 5 star read! 🌟🌟🌟 [...]

This story is a beautiful twisted tale, but I felt like I was left with alot of unanswered questions. The story itself is well crafted and character development is really good. But I felt that alot of the detail was missing to make it a more rounded story. Though I will point out this didn't distract from the beautiful read just left me asking questions. It is also a dark story but not so dark as to be a put off.A great read.

Parting and love are such sweet sorrow. What happens when you don't depart? What happens if you, for lack of a better word, bond with a vampire instead. You think you're a ghost but what ifd how can you possibly believe in a love that's already dead? There are neither sparkles here. Just a darn good story!

  • Bookish Addict

A very different paranormal story of a ghost and a vampire. The relationship between a vampire and their ghost is very interesting. I love how Virginia has created something new and unique. The ending is amazing. I didn't see it coming and I really enjoyed the short read.

First off, I always look forward to reading a book from Virginia!! Her books are different and keep me wanting more. This book! Who knew that ghosts and vampires could go together. I never knew what would happen from one page to the next, and that is another thing I love about Virginia's books! If you like PNR with a twist, you need to read this.

  • Kimberly Hostetler

This book was amazing! I could not put it down. It was the first book I have read by Virginia Johnson and I am hooked! The way she writes the charters you can't help by fall in love with them! Ashley and Thaddeus are a refreshing combination. The give and take and how she fits the need for them to be together just fits. I loved how she has a vampire and a ghost as the main characters. It is different from any other vampire book I have ever read. The end of the book had me in tears. I didn't want [...]
