In Volume 2 of Aubrey Law's "Pumpkintown Perils, the adventures of the Tempest witch sisters, their nutty Aunt Hazel, the cat Jinxy, and Sam, the 'hideously handsome leprechaun', continue. I must admit enjoying Volume 1 more, still the stories remain quick, easy reading. I imagine cartoon characters when I read about this crazy crew so these stories would be especially good fun for teens. There's very slight sexual allusion, no graphic descriptions of violence, and a quick resolution to the 'mys [...]

Wanda and her cast of unique secondary characters solve mysteries with a sense of purpose and humour. The short stories are well-written and move quickly. The author has created a quirky world. This was a fun afternoon read. It is well written, the characters are fun, and the action is fast paced. The mysteries are solved in a quickly and not a lot of depth to them. But the stories are fun to read to relax for an evening to just enjoy a story.

PerilsI loved this book as much as the first one. Wanda, and Sam make a wonderful duo, doing detective work together. Aubrey Law is such a amazing author.

I think this is a cute little fun series. Can't wait for more!!!

The way the pumpkin poisoning incident was solved seemed a bit convenient. The best part of this novel was saved for the end: 'Mystery of the last leprechaun' was the best of the short stories. The murderer was better thought out, since he made tiny appearances throughout this novel.

OMG! Better than the first one with more laughs and just as much intrigue to keep you turning the pages.Definitely read this series if you want a good relaxing read without the usual seriousness of a crime drama. Can't wait to find out what adventures the Tempest sisters and Sam the leprechaun inspector get up to in the next book and hopefully Wanda gets to have a little fun just like Aunt Hazel (You go girl!).

Wonderfully wickedI highly recommend this book! The stories are well written, and the characters bring you right into the story plot. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. This one has a twisted cliff hanger ending. This author leaves you wanting more!

Wanda Tempest and Sam Shamrock come back with more adventures and mysteries to solve. Pumpkintown has no rest when it comes to crime, but for our luck our two favorite detectives are here to solve it.In this book, just like in the first, you’ll find magic, mystery and a lot of comedy. This series has been very interesting to read and has made me crave for more, for the need to know what happened or will happen next. The first half of the book I read calmly and throughout a few days, the second [...]

I really enjoy reading the Pumpkintown Perils series. They are quick reads that are filled with fun! Wanda and Sam are back right where we left off. They have new mysteries to solve though, including the death of a character I liked. "Sigh." I look forward to these books as, for me, they are great stress relievers. I prefer to make time to read the book in one sitting just because I get so involved in the rollicking adventures the oddball characters have. I truly do get upset if I have to stop, [...]
